Hi all fellow freya fliers. I hav a ? for you. I was wondering how much flight time you are getting out of your machine. I am running a stock machine, with an OS 61wc and glass blades. No heavy 3d, just basic loops and rolls. I hav the motor set at factory settings and I am only getting around 9 minute of flight time. I also have a 2 ounce header tank but normally dont go through that. Just wondering if that is average or below average to the rest. If below what can I do to increase flight time? Thanks for all info.

I get 12-14 minutes using 30% nitro on a 61 Freya. I don't even let it empty the main tank.

I'm getting around 9 minutes of heavy 3d and like 12-13 minutes running normal with a few autos. Running 30% CP on YS61st2 with no header.

Too rich...
Ken,
I would say you are close. I get on the average 12-16 minutes of flight time on 15%.
Try leaning the carb out a bit. I noticed the engine will run good at factory settings, but if you take a 1/4 to 1/2 turn in the engine will run really well and gain a couple minutes flight time.
I just switched to the MP so I am back to experimenting, but right now low end is at 1 3/4, mid range 1/2 out top end is about 1 3/4 which is too rich. Test flight to follow today.
I also am using the OS61WC

First I would like to THANK all who hav replied!!!! I had forgot to say I am running with 30%cp. As far as leaning the top end out, when I do that, I get that wonderful vertical tail shake. When I go bac to 2 full turns out, the shake goes away. That is why I am running rich. I also dorked the heli tonght so it will b awhile b/4 I am bac up. But when I am bac up, I will try turning ALL the needle valves in and see if that helps. Again Thanks!!
