I just got a used 9Z and am setting it up on my scooby 50.
I just got a new JR DS 8417 servo for the collective.
It jumps going up and going down. I replaced it with
another new one I got last week. It does the same thing.
They are silky smooth in my JR 8103 radio.
Am I missing a setting in the 9Z?????
Do you have to do anything different for digitals?
I should think these servos are compatable with the radio?
Anyone have a clue??????
Oh I am useing FM unitill I get my synth tx mod, if that matters.

I also thought i read somewhere that it has to be on PCM also. Could be wrong, but if it works on your JR radio and that is PCM, that could be the problem.

I tryed them on my 8103 and they were fine on fm and pcm.
Only with my 9z on fm are they funkey?
I thought it was the 8700g that was PCM only, thats why I bought
the 8417's instead.

The 8700G is PCM only due to the fact it is so sensitive, many use JR servos with Futaba transmitters. I would look in the software of the TX to see if something is not set properly. It may be the fact that digital servos are 1024 resolution, on ppm your Z may be 512.

David H I dont understand what you are saying.(can you explane
further?)
My 9Z does fm just fine with an fm RX (I just program it as such.)
The 8417 are supposed to be fm or pcm from what I was told.
Is there anyone with this combo in fm?

A little more info maybe?
What do you have on the rest of your set up?If all else fails, grab another servo of a DIFFERENT type and see if it works fine.If so, then you have a capatability issue .Sure you didn't drop it in the water?LOL.......

I had an 8700G show problems with a GY502,
but that is due to the high frame rate.
On low frame rate all was ok.

I've been using FM receiver, 9Z and GY501 couple w/ JR 8417 on the tail. It is right on the money. No problem at all.

I borrowed a PCM futaba rx today and that was the problem.
With the Fm futaba Rx the servos jump, but under futaba
PCM hey are fine.
