I got lucky and picked up an Airtronics 4 channel TX in a thrift store today for $7.50 in the box with charger and manual (no servos or RX). The model is SR4R with the final R indicating that it came with rechargeable batteries.

My only purpose for this TX will be to serve as a controller for a model sim.

How do I use this with FMS or other sims? Will it work on all sims or just select ones? It appears to be an older TX, though not anicent. It has a connector on the front panel though I have no idea what the connector actually is, it looks kind of like an old mouse ps2 connector-maybe a buddy box connector? The connector port has 5 pins in an arc and another at the bottom separate.

I have a recent PC with USB ports for interfacing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,
