The pitch slider! It's the item limiting the travel.

get the pitch slider and also get the SRX or nexus, pitch control arm, the one I have has 3 holes you can put the ball in to get more or less throw.
I get +-11 or 12 from mine but run -9 +10

I also suggest the metal mixing arms and the metal mixing base, under heavy loads the plastic may come apart.

I may still have a complete used metal mixing base and pitch slider I can sell you, I know the pitch slider is in good shape but I think the mixing base needs new rods, if you are interested I will check it out. if it's all good, say $25 shipped

I have metal everything on the head already. The pitch slider is just a metal version of the original. Is the SRX or Nexus pitch slider a direct replacement?

yes they are direct replacements, the SRX is a brass/ metal version, and their is also a plastic/brass version which i think came from the nexus both are ok, both are just like your tail pitch slider, brass bushing wiht a nut on it. instead of the plastic bushing with a metal collar and a c clip. you can also remove yours and cut a grove around it so your clip will not move and then cut off the extra plastic bushing, but the upgrade is well worth it.

Thanks for all the advice concept1. I'm trying to figure out what the difference is between the stock pitch slider and the SRX one. I have several different one's that came with a used concept 30. Im not sure what causes one to give negative pitch and one will not.

basically the newer ones are shorter than the original stock plastic one. if you have a brass bushing with a nut, similiar to your tail pitch slider thats the one you need, if yours is a plastic bushing held together with a clip toss it and get the one held together with a nut. but also check to see if you are getting max throw. does the pitch slider hit the top and bottom of the main shaft or is their still room for it to go up or down in the shaft, if so you will need a new pitch control arm, or you can modify yours drill a new hole and add a metal ball closer to the pivit point to get more throw, or use a longer arm on your servo.

Like I said I can get +-11 or 12 from mine, but only run +10 and -9

Ok, I have the brass pitch slider. When its in the full up position it has about 1/8 inch before it hits the mast stopper. It wont go all the way because the mixing base hits the bottom of the rotor head where it mounts on the main shaft. At that position its at 0degrees. I guess I need a longer main shaft. I know there is a long one and a short one and I know I have the short because I just ordered it and put it on a month ago. But if I did put a longer mast on it that would give more travel for the mixing base to move up but the pitch slider would still bump the mast stopper. Thats in a fixed position inside the frame. Thanks for all your help concept1. Maybe I'll just stick to my PHI for the 3D stuff and use the Concept 30 for just cruising around.

one more thought, when i upgraded to the VR head I had to cut about 1/4 inch off the head where it goes on to the mast. take a look at your head and where the bolt goes through the mast, can you cut some off and still have plenty left to hold the head on??? I would keep the short mast if you can, also if you still have room at the top but not the bottem, then re-adjust all the rods so the slider sits higher when at 0,
