Ok..this is a reminder to all that want to attend (or who might be curious). The 2005 USA Heli Team members will be here to get their skills fined tuned against other competitors. If you ever wanted to see what competition flying is all about, or needed answers to your questions, this is a must attend event!

This contest (for the first time ever!) will have a 'class within a class' awards!.
Award certificates will be given in Class 1 - 1st thru 6th, AND Class 1 (30-50 size Heli) - 1st thru 3rd! Which means that you don't have to have a 'high dollar, highly modified' heli to compete! Hopefully, there are some of you who always wanted to try your skills at competition, but felt that you didn't have the 'caliber' of machine to do it with. Well, here's your chance!! Just show up and fly what you brung!!!! Not familiar with the set of manuevers? Go to the AMA website and download the AMA Heli Competion Regulations (RC Heli).. http://www.modelaircraft.org/compreg.asp

Hope to see you there!

Are you ready!
I don't know about the rest of the heli flying folks but this is going to be a fun event.

Looking forward to it and seeing some old and new faces. If you have never attended a contest this is the one, it is just a lot of fun and a good chance to improve your flying even if you 3D free style.

There will be a 50 class now so come join in the fun and you are sure to walk away with some great experience.

And it is a great joy to watch the team that will represent the US Championship and to see these folks fly, all I can say is WOW. They fly with such precision it is amazing. I also enjoy the chance to help out and give support to the team.

So come out and lets get together, if you are new to the hobby I will be glad to help you out and many others will also.

See you there, 4 days and counting!

Field is ready!
WX Forecast for the field:

Friday
Showers and thunderstorms likely. Highs around 78. West winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Friday Night
Mostly cloudy in the evening then becoming partly cloudy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows around 62. Light winds. Chance of rain 40 percent.

Saturday
Partly cloudy. Highs around 81. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

Saturday Night
Partly cloudy. Lows around 59. East winds 10 to 15 mph in the evening then becoming light.

Sunday
Partly cloudy. Highs in the lower 80s.

Looks like a perfect weekend is shaping up! Not too hot, and great 'autoing' wind!

BTW, I'll be at the field tomorrow (Friday) around 9AM to take pre-registrations, and to help folks get set up. With only a 60-70% chance of T-Storms, I'm sure you'll get some practice in.

See you there!
