The Central Kansas fun fly for 2005 is going full steam ahead. We had to change the dates one more time, to de- conflict with to MAJOR events in the area and another Heli fun fly in the region. The KSU graduation week and some of your own family graduations was keeping some of you away. Then last year we moved it to June, and a HUGE BASS tournament was scheduled on the same weekend. Not to mention that there was another Fun Fly in Oklahoma that same weekend.

Well, We have decided to move it one more time to the last weekend in April. The Fun Fly will take place on 29-30 April and 1st of May. I am still working on the prizes, but I can guarantee a 30 size heli and a bunch of goodies form the local hobby shop and the ususal sponsors. I will post the prizes available here as I receive them.

Come and have some fun, compete if you want to, or just fly and show off what you learned since last year.

Hope to see you there!

Camping at the field
Is is possible, but there is a campground right next door to us and they do not appreciate us letting people park/camp at our field. There is no utilities at our field, but there are all the hook-ups at the campground. It is within walking distance of the field.

Hope to see you there!

I have information that Scott Glasgow (JR Team), Cortez Jenkins (Miniature Aircraft / Futaba), and possibly Scott Cathey (JR Team) are planning to attend.

I previous years we've had 30-35 pilots, and this year promises to be about the same. If you haven't been to our field, it is big enough to have 5 or more pilots at one time in the air. That translates to a lot of flight time per pilot.

Hope to see you there...

A Great Success
Thanks to all of you that came to have some good fun at the Fun Fly. We had tons of fun and I hope that everybody had a ton of time to fly your helis. That is the goal of this fun fly.

Congratulations go to the Prize Winners:

Bruce Dalton walked away with the set of V-Blades.
Davin Chevalier took home the Hummingbird V3
Toby Vles is looking for ways to install his new Flight Data Recorder from Eagletree Systems.
And a Local visitor with the name of PGeorge is being contacted to take delivery of the JR 9303 Heli radio.

Thanks to all of our sponsors. And I hope to see you all there and many more next year.
