I have a R60 with a Ys 91, 8.27 ratio, 700mm NHP, MpII, throttle jockey, gy 401, carbon tail supports. I mainly do FF flights and some 3D,when I get tired of speed, and rapid climbs.
I am trying to find out what should be my next upgrade.
What would be the most effective upgrade from this point. Will a metal head make that much of a difference? how about paddles?

I am lost from here.

I would go for a metal main hub, some V-paddles, maybe a metal fan? Kind of your choice, it sounds like you have an awesome set up tho! Good luck with it and fly the snot out of it!

Do you have the R90 boom yet? Is tail clearance an issue with the 700mm blades?

hey
i would definilty go with the metal head block....and if you can go with the full head from either TDG or QuickUK
also paddles would be nice to add....i recommened either MA Whites or the new paddles TT just came out with ....the ugly green onse
both these paddles weigh 20 grams but the TT ones are alot better in stableness...they have the good design that the MA's lack
V paddles smooth things out but i think most people buy paddles for quicker response and as far as i know Vpaddles don't improve that....some people might think so....just my 2 cents!!

Thanks

Stephen you took the words right out of my mouth.

What size tails?

95mm I am guessing

I have 105mm with 680mm mains. But i would like to get a set of 690/700mm to try.

I think if you fly fairly flat, any blades will clear. Notice he doesn't mention piro flips.

680's and 100's don't touch in piro flips

I can get them to touch on the bench but the blades are at an odd angle that I doubt would happen in the air. I believe the longest you can run is 102's on the tail. 700's and 95's are too close for comfort. I'll get em to touch

700's might be a bit much for a 60 engine anyway.

My 680mm V-blades didn't like the 105mm tails sticking out so far.... so they got shortened in flight (which makes a really bad sound)

I would spend your money on more fuel. Fly the living daylights out of it. Buy an R90 when it's toast.

I think R90SE metal head is way better than Quick and TDG as is the metal swashplate.
