I am running the following,

CP hummer with centruy brusless and CC10. gy240 gyro in HH mode. EDP-50 tail with 3030 prop on a ICS-50 ESC. TP 1320 lipo 3s

my question is, it doest have crap for tail control, my FP hummer is great with the EDP-50 and 3030 but this one will hardly hold the tail and even when given full right stick it will rotate but very very slowly. on climbouts it doesnt hold very well and i find myself continually "flying" the tail.

I have replaced the motor twice, once after burning it out and once just to be sure that wasnt th eproblem. Do you think perhaps the ICS-50 isnt enough for it? any other ideas on how to correct this problem?
thanks
jim

im just getting back into the HB's... I had a simprop 280bb motor in mine for a few weeks, i played with the pinions a bit, best combo was an 8T on the main and tail, i wanted to get a 9T on the tail, i hoped the speed would make it respond more but i couldnt find tail pinions.

get an 8T from the r/c car guys, i think i was just using an HPI brand pinion.

If you replace that 3030 prop with a 4530 and the required adapter, your tail will hold like a champ!

Have you checked your trims, make sure that they are zeroed along with your sub-trims. When you first plug in the battery you should have to arm the taill buy holding it over to the left. On mine i time it about 4 secs if i hold it longer than that my tail goes wild. If that happens unplug the battery and then plug it back in, give the gyro about 10-20 to initalize then try again.
