At 90° Welcome to big wonderful Wyoming!
Great post Ted!.

They get their share of Tornadoes and Hurricanes.

I am surprised the flag pole is still standing

I find it fascinating as to the type of crap weather some of you are willing to fly in.

Most of the time we have to put up with this

Looks like you guys have got it real bad over there!.
Do you have any problems with the fuel freezing?.

Flying in S.H.1.T makes those sunny calm days just that bit more easier and special!

90 mph gales expected in scotland in next 48 hours....get some lift flying into that!!!!(maybe i wont drive 120 miles to try!!! )although a moderate amount of wind i would recommend as totally calm flyers are leading themselves into a false sense of security...

But you couldn't beat this weekend. Even in the far NE of Scotland it was sunny, blue skies, no wind and even warm.

Smoke was straight down

Not looking forward to the weekend though. Gales and more gales apparently

last 4 weekends in a row i have been at the field and have spent on average 8-10 ( x4 ) hours of the weekend standing in the ffeezing cold cupping hot tea - in all that time i got like 10 seconds flying time, mixture of clutch problems (due to a hot start) and helping others (scary) and just too bloody cold to fly (freezing me nuts off)- but do you know what, this weekend i will still be there....................Mad - i could be..............................?........whats your excuse

A good site for your Wap Phone is http://www.xcweather.co.uk/
If you follow the link in the top right hand corner it gives you info to set it up on your Wap Phone.
Its a good 'now cast' to tell you if its worth going to the field (like you need an excuse!)
Sorry to our US friends but it only covers the UK
