My Shogun frame is broken at the bottom of the left and right side front verticle supports, just above the battery tray. Has anyone had success repairing this type of break? I tried CA but that didn't work.

thanks

-Marc

hi
you would have better luck if you add some material ( gusset ) to the area , cut some thin sheet ( glass filled nylon or lite-ply or popsicle stick ) and then sand the area to rough it up a bit and then try thin CA or 5 min epoxy , this will be much better the just a butt joint , have the gusset extend by the break like 1/2 " either way or if the break is close to the edge of the frame make the gusset "T" or triangular in shape

Yes, my frame is patched in many places. Do not try to CA it directly. Get a fiberglass sheet (PCB material from an old electronic device will work) and cut a piece to cover the crack, then CA or epoxy it to the frame. Looks ugly, works great.
