F3cWNB,

First, make sure your heli is balanced on the main shaft, you should be able to hover with no trim added (ensure the swash is absoutly flat). Adding trim for hovering will make things a lot different during forward flight.

Heli's need different trim in foward flight because of retreating and advancing blade asymmetry, also the tail will be different because of extra air flow over tail. Chris

Once you have progressed beyond basic hovering, you may want to re-trim your heli for forward flight. The odds are pretty good that once you've gotten into flying around, you will be doing alot more of that than stationary hovering.

I was going to take up Origami, but someone said the local club folded.

Hi:

The helicopter trimming in hover will not the same as in forward flight. Dissymmetry of lift, transitional lift, and downwash pattern will make sure they aren't the same.

Thank you very much.
