Hello,
Just like the title says. Finished my 450X tonight and hovered it in the backyard. The LED on the castle speed control is always on anywhere above mid stick. Is this correct? Everything seems ok but just wanted to check. Need to get more time on it tomorrow. I successfully programed the speed control so I feel pretty good about that. By the way, can you skip through steps on the speed control--can you set the brake then skip to the timing advance? Lastly, what is the best setting for the timing advance for a Chili Pepper 3600KV? I set it in the middle setting on the ESC. Thanks for the help.

Im not positive but pretty sure that you dont want to fly around with ESC light on. Its telling you that there is a low voltage condition. That usually happens when the pack is at the end of a charge. I just drop my headspeed right until the light goes off. It only goes on now when I go full throttle into the air. Good question I would like more information on this.

LED on
Sounds like you might be in Auto Calibrate mode on the throttle.. It will sense anythingover 1/2 stick as full throttle until you exceed the previous throttle setting..

that right. I set it to auto calibrate thinking that I would use my throttle curves. It seemed the most correct choice of the ones listed. I have heard that governor mode is not so good when using 4 servos, etc. What exactly does auto calibrate do/mean?

I thought the light should be on all the time - using high gove mode and 100 % throttle curve in idle up 1 & 2

the red light means its at full throttle. The red light comes on at full throttle so you can set your throttle end points to be able to use the full range of the stick, and so 70% in your throttle curve is 70%throttle, not 100%
