I am building my first scale heli (Airwolf). I want to use channel 8 for the gear. I know how to get into the FNC menu and select the switch to control that channel, but the SWT menu does not appear so that i can activate the selected switch. My question is how do I get to the SWT screen?
Thanks for you help,
Marvin

Hi Marvin,

The SWT menu isn't applicable for every function. From the FNC menu select CTR (on the right) then select the switch or dial on the bottom. Use the +/- on the right to reverse the switch (or dial). Use SRV (SYS menu) to verify the channel's operation.

In the FNC menu after selecting the channel, use the CTR to assign
the control for that channel.
Choices will be at bottom, scroll with NXT for all , also use TRM to
assign a trim control.

Thanks, Wyn and Howard, that works great. Perhaps you can answer another question, I read somewhere that with the 9ZWCII you can control the speed of the servos through the radio, in this case I would slow down the speed of the gear servos to make them appear more realistic. Would you know how to do this?
Thanks again,
Marvin

Thanks, z11355, I'll play with that. I notice you are in a hidden location, perhaps you should send me a map of where your money is hidden so I can see that your family gets it if something should happen to you.
Thanks in advance,
Marvin

It's NXT from ATV. It's set per flight condition, as is most everthing else. Also works good to ramp the governor speed when changing from Normal to Idle 1/2.

right, its only applied upon ENTRY into the
condition in question.

Hadn't thought of using it as a governor
'soft-start', nice thinking.

Marvin, you are MUCH too kind

Yes, good think Wyn. Do you use a GV-1? If so how much delay do you use? Do you use the delay on the throttle channel or the Aux/RPM channel?

Thanks,

Jeff

Hi cdrking -

I use 98% delay for the GV-1, the delay is on the AUX channel (the speed setpoint). I also use an offset type PMIX that changes the AUX channel when the Idle-up switch is moved.

Total'd a heli one time doing a low roll in Normal mode. The lower RPM in Normal is my reminder.
