Got My T-rex Stretch Kit!

Now what? LOL
Anyone got any sugguestions on a motor that will power my second rexxy? I currently run a Mega 15 on the Trex 450x #1! I hear the Chili Pepper or the Hacker, but not sure!

Which Mega do you have ?
I have a Trex on the way and will install the stretch kit also, where did you get it ?
I am planning on going 4s and haven't chosen a motor yet either.
Thanks, Chuck

From reading all the posts regarding motor, I think the Align 4003 2800kv seems to be the motor of choice for now.

Grand RC had the kit! Modefo's should have them soon! I have the Mega 15l 400 motor. I got it in a combo from Modefo's! Motor seems to have good power, im running a 11th that came in the stock kit! I will find out the head speed tomorrow. I just went out and did a couple of circuits and the motor was barely warm!

I don't see any reason for stretching this machine, aside from getting more power from the tail. Longer blades are only gonna require a bigger motor, and then a bigger battery....read all that as weight. So, you still aren't getting a lower disk loading as a net result.

I'd still stick with the 315s even if I did stretch the tail. Get more moment for the tail to work, at least.

Maybe one of you can learn this 20 year heli vet some new trick of heli physics?

I fly a Raptor 50 and a Raptor 90. So what better way to customize my mini's than to have a 50 version and a 90 version!

at least on rcgroup forum, the motor of choice at the moment is mega 16/15/3, and warp 4, 3turn motor for high performance 3S setup with TP 2100 pack. these motors are true 250watt class. the problem is that most other motors tend to be 150-200 watt class, and tend to overheat/bog when fully loaded.

LoL I guess.

It is fun to be able to buy a fleet of these little critters and screw around with em, without getting a new home mortgage.
