If the pictures are as nice as you say, i'll take it. email to rtrickyjr@usadatanet.net

Please show both sides (frames), and all wear points (gears), too. Have you had it since new, what's its age, and has it been 'dinged'

Thanks, Rick

Heli not in advertised shape ...
Received heli, not in advertised shape. Reimbursed for bent flybar and two bearings. Have replaced upgraded front transmission shaft and bearing (worn out shaft). Replaced center section of upgraded elevator yoke (elongated control holes, both sides), replaced control studs to same (bent and worn out where the ends are pressed flat). Replaced tail gears (worn out), replaced bent tail output shaft. Replaced vertical fin bracket (was installed with electrical tape and aftermarket bracket that didn't fit). Replaced tail slider assembly (bearings bad, brass sleeve worn out). Replaced approximately half the bearings in machine, including main bearings.

Have sent email, gotten no response. I understand things aren't perfect when buying used, but if advertised as 'in great shape', that's what I'd expect. The elevator yoke was actually sitting at an angle (up in front), with the links adjusted to set the swash level, due to the control shaft being bent.

This information is being posted so others can learn from my mistakes. It would've been cheaper to buy new, the engine supplied (YS) has vertually no compression. I haven't run it yet, but am not expecting good results.

Hirobo Eric (RR) was given as a reference, and he stated the heli was in real good shape. You just never know when you buy used, I guess.

The main gear and pinion gear are like new, so it wasn't all bad

You would think with references that you would have been alright with this deal. Sorry to hear about your troubles.

Your are correct in expecting the condition to be as advertised.

Take solace in the fact that you still got a great deal even after the neccessary repairs. You essentially have an intrepid 3D. One of the nicest. I am sure you will love that bird. See my gallery

It's not the 3D frame set, but new the intrepid torque tube kit is $999, without the upgrades. If I look at it in that light, you're correct. I'll keep my glass half full instead of half empty, and just decide to be happy

After all ...at least I finally gott my bergen 60, and I've learned the secrets of that fine tailbox!

Nice bird in your gallery! You can be real proud of that one

Jay, thanks for the kind words. I was willing to take the risk, and I do enjoy working on them, just didn't expect it. Time to move on

A few Bergen pilots I know actually prefer the stacked frameset over the 3D set for its rigidness. in any case the conversion is about a 150.00 if your curious. My 91 weighs in at 10.5 with a half tank and a heavy subc 2400 battery pack.

Free Helio not good enough ????????
Yes, the helio was used, but WOW, sounds like it shouldn’t flown at all in that bad of a condition. The fact is it flew perfect before you got it and the motor and machine ran fine. As for worn out items, yes its used if you chose to go through and replace every worn looking item whether it needs it or not then that’s on you. It’s obvious from your previous e-mails you where upgrading the machine and you had a couple of issues with the cosmetic looks of parts. Hmmmm, and now there suddenly bad and need to be replaced. The fact is, if you would have bought new (retails for over a $1000), it would have been 10X more expensive then fixing a few parts. So, let let’s do the math. helio sold for $700. I paid for shipping $80, and $100 in spare parts came with it, motor $200, gyro $200, carbon main and tail blades $125, and about $300 in Bergen upgrades. So this means, with all the extra parts, less the motor you still got the helio for FREE. Sorry, if I cant give you any more of a refund, FREE helio as good as it gets. When you first contacted me I worked with you and took care of those items. Then you came back with a shopping list, which some of the parts were cosmetic and typically worn, which you were then hinting for me to also replace also. It was good deal even with a few replacements, I am sorry your unhappy, I myself self have had nothing but good experiences in buying and selling used helicopters. I would appreciate that you not include Hirobo Eric in any part of this, as the sale was between you and I, and as he stated it was in good condition. Hope we can both get past this and continue to enjoy the field of flying.

Fly low aviod the radar !!!

Sorry,
HiroboEric contacted me, and asked me to get a list together for what was bad. I didn't contact him, he pm'd me. The heli isn't upgraded at all, still has your ys in it, only installed a different canopy on it, and tail fins.

The parts replaced were not 'worn', but 'worn out', unusable. Don't list it as 'in great shape' if it isn't. Ain't no way you didn't know what shape it was in, so, I lose, but don't try to defend an add you placed that was misleading, it just ain't gonna work

I trusted what you told me, and you just weren't straight with me. My loss, but don't try to 'wash it' like it was cool, cause it just wasn't.

Enough said. Get on with your flying, and so will I.

Sorry we cant work it out. If it was that bad then I would have taken it back and gave you a full refund then but you never asked. You started to nickle and diming me to death for worn parts. The helo flew fine when I sold it you got a great deal then and again parts alone were woth that much which was allready stated. I NEVER sell junk. I have over 200 e-bay trans without one neg hit so sorry you cant be satisfied by giving away everthing.

Lets see: I got a flybar and two bearings worth of money out of you ... yep, that's definately 'nickel and diming' ... I'm sorry, I shouldn't expect things to be as advertized ... my bad

Just 'put up, or shut-up', ok?

enough said, lets move on, ok? You sold, I bought 'let the buyer beware', it's over, you got payment, I fixed the heli. It's ok, I've been burned before, I'll get over it, will you?
