I notice that the part number for the frame spacers of the 90SE is different than the ones used in 60V2 (90SE part number PV0418,419,420 for long, medium and small spacers instead of PV0179,180,181 for the V2).

Anybody knows what's the difference between them?

I'm pretty sure it's cause of the difference in thickness of the upper and lower side frames. I remember having the same questions when I upgraded to 90 standard frames (thicker) from the 60 V2 frames. I was able to lose the lower aluminum frame stiffeners and saved a few oz in weight.

Hmmmm thanks but please help me in these cause I am not sure if I get it right.

I'd like to upgrade the upper and lower aluminum frames of my 70V2 with the Carbon Extreme ones. These are 2mm thick same as the stock 90SE carbon frames and as the stock aluminum frames I already have.

Should I also buy the new spacers or can I use the ones I already have right now?

If in the future I would like to upgrade to a 90 will I need the new spacers in order to install the new fan shroud or the metal bb blocks?

Thanks.

BTW SteveO I check your gallery. You've got a very nice 90 ship.

As far as I know the 90 STD spacers are .1mm longer than the 60 spacers. The aluminium side frames on the 90 STD are 2.5mm, up from 2.0mm on the 60. Not sure if the SE are the same as the STD.

The 90SE carbon frames are 2mm thick but same spacers as 90STD are used.
