I am trying to run a 4 cell Irate 1800 with the Align 400s and the smallest pinion I have is a 11 tooth that came with the kit. I get a head speed of 2450 at 65% throttle. I think I am going to need an 8 tooth.
Any ideas.

Check out KC's spreadsheet:

For a simpler one you can use the one from FXA:

That is similar to the combo I am putting together. It will either be an 8 or 9. I think 8 though.
I will let you know when I get it flying.

Where can you get a 8T pinion from? Smallest in my kit was 11T, and anything smaller will need smaller motor shaft.
