I have used a swashplate jig many times on Robbe machines for inital 3D setup and subsequent rebuilds, but havent found any references in the Raptor world..

While building my R90 SE I thought it sure would be a help looking at the setup sections 6-1 to 6-3-4. With the collective pitch control frame positioned in the exact center of travel in left side frame, the distance between the bottom of the swashplate and top of the bearing block is 20.5 mm..It so happens that some scrap 1x2 oak trimming stock from Lowes is 20 mm thick and the right width to fit between the Hiller links and the washout links.. I found out that the carton for HP printer cartriges is a tough plastic and measures .5 mm thick.. Presto a U-block jig was quickly drilled and cut and glued..

I also found that 2 extra short servo arms gently wedged between the top of the flybar hub and the rotor hub makes a great flybar lock..

Hope this helps..

Sandy

I used a piece of small fuel tubing for the flybar.

Raptor mixing does not warrant a flybar lock during setup, at least that's what I thought.

Loc, that's true, if you have the stock ratio. But it sure makes it easier. I also block the pitch arm in the center.
