I am looking for bearings to replace the bushings supplied for the Elevator Bellcrank on a Hirobo S300 Schweizer... Also wondered about the part # for the starter coupling... no responses on the Scale forum so thought I would ask the wonderful folks in the Hirobo forum.

Hello Jon

Had the manual handy. The S300 is a great flying helicopter, be sure to set it down softly, as the landing gear is a bit delicate.

The bearing size is 5x8x2.5mm, you will need 2 for the 0402-306 Elevator Lever. By the way this is a common size used in Tamiya R/C cars.

The starter coupling part number is 0402-254.

Have a great day.

Hello Jon, I may have misunderstood your question concerning the starter coupling. The number I gave you was for the part already on the helicopter. If you need an extension shaft for your starter look at the following link.

You were correct... I had heard from a guy in UK that his S300 didn't come with a starter coupling... probably an error on Hirobo's part...

Thanks. I ordered the bearings... Did you add bearings on your heli at all?

Yes, I couldn't resist adding the 2 bearings to the elevator lever. Not sure if the upgrade could be noticed but it makes me feel better just the same.

I'm going to look into a complete bearing kit... if needed... My EVO 50 runs sooooo smoothly... Full bearing compliment does make a difference....

All I need now is for the damn thing to arrive from Japan....
