I was thinking about getting a new 60 heli. I was looking into the fury expert kit. Does anyone have any experience with this kit? Is it a good kit? Is it fully capable of 3D? I was flying the standard x-cell 60 kit with an OS 70 in it and it flew great. Anyone have any comments? Thanks for your help.

If it was up to me I would look for a good used extreme... It will save you money in the long run...That is if you EVER want to upgrade to a 90.
You should find a good deal here on RR.

Yes the Expert is a nice kit. And yes it will do pretty much anything you can throw at it. I have owned one, and was very happy with it. But if I were in the market for one now, it WOULD be an Extreme. Not only for the added power, but for the added features. Nice kit for sure. If all you are interested in is a 60, then the Expert will serve you very well.

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

Well I already have the fury tempest kit and was looking for a kit to throw my OS 70 into. Is the expert kit basically the same as the extreme, or are there differences?

Is the expert kit graphite or is it metal?

The Expert kit is G-10. And yes there are several differences between the Expert and the Extreme. If you do a little looking around you will find that the Extreme has a few things that make it worth the extra money.

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

I had to change the mainshaft bearings on my Expert when it was new, since they wore out VERY quickly (less that ten flights). It now has an Extreme mainshaft as well as an Extreme tail gearbox, aluminum fan and Extreme spindle. Overall, it probably cost more than the Extreme base kit, even after re-gearing and new tailboom.
