I had posted a link to another thread, but found it discussed G2 more than G3. I was going to rant about searching for this information as it's been discussed before, but I see that a lot of the G3 threads have been getting deleted by the moderator.

Do a search on titles only for "G3" and you'll get a bunch of threads, though.

Hello

I have myself the G2 but have for the last 2 day got some 30 min on the G3 and a couple of weeks ago got some 20 min with the XTR.

Actually I think the G2 works better than the G3! I tried with the C182 on my P4 2800GHz, a quite new computer. I looks like the G3 have too heavy grafics so even with my high performance computer it sometimes, at some areas of the field, locks for a part of second. It´s always just after lift of and when passing just overhead buildings. I also have the idea that the plane in the G2 is behaves more like a real r/c-plane than the G3 plane. I´m really disappointed so far!!!

Regarding the XTR I had the opportunity to test it together with a videoprojector at a show some weeks ago. Really fun. I just tested it with the Caliber (I think) and was very impressed of feeling flying it, very much like a real chopper. With my small experience of the XTR I put it way above the Realfight!!! The disadvantage, you have to use your own radio.

I would consider using your own transmitter a HUGE ADVANTAGE on a learning curve.
