What is needed to mount a SSR-VII rotor head on a stock X Spec? Has anyone done this and is it worth the $450 upgrade?

The Eagle3 comes with a with 224mm long mainshaft, and the Freyas comes with a 220mm shaft. Guess that wont affect anything but the rod lenghts. So I would guess it fits right on.

If its worth it is hard to say, I havent tried the SSR-VII myself, but I´ve heard that it´s good to have fast fingers when hovering with it.

I've just put my Eagle3 together and compared it side-by-side with a std freya. The flybar is on top on mine, and the blade grips are closer to the frame than the std freya head which is giving me second thoughts on 3-D-ing this bird. With a shorter shaft, well, it seems you may adding to that risk.
