Very interesting last couple of posts. It will take a lot of pressure off by not having music, and if there is a PA system just for background sound that would be fine too. Thanks for the input. I may need a caller/salvager,
Colin,
thanks for the generous offer of the Hyper till mine arrives. I would be happy to just replace it with the new one. I was hoping mine would have arrived by now I was hoping to get to Charmouth, but my wife isn't keen so I don't know. I don't mind driving to Ipswich to pick the motor up if it doesn't arrive soon
I will fly with the 90 this weekend, I had it set up for the advanced sportsman at the Nationals last year, but will change the blades, mixing ratios and paddles to speed things up some.
Cheers
Denis

Believe me, if I was the commentator you'd all be in serious danger of suffering extreme boredom! It's not really me, believe it!

Even Col has more carisma than me...

Ohh NO
Can you believe it, this saturday, I was meant to do my B cert, and my heli decided to fall apart in the sky, while doing chaos, an hour befor I had to do the exam!!!
The plastic head just split in 2. The rotors, after cuting my boom in half, shot off in one direction, and the main airframe just fell about 12meters.
I found the head about 40meters away!
Not having a spare model, someone lended me there just rebuilt one, so i had an hour to set it up, set my radio up, test fly and practace.... I got up to the test flying bit! with about 1/2 tank of flying the M and top hat.
Unfortunately I forgot to set the Idle Up so when doing the stall turns, the model drifted in the 15mph gusts we were having down south east. I failed on that.
BTW if anyone is doing hard 3D with a Raptor 50 Get the metal head block. I always check my models over, wich is why i have had about 60 flights with no crashes, but this means that parts are not being replaced, and wear down.
Il have to set the Fury up for F3C and get some practace in with that model, while im repairing the 50.

Funny you should say that, yes!

This year I'm a little too rushed, I need more flying time I'm working too hard.. Haven't done any significant practice yet.

future man.WAS I AT SHROPSHIRE FLYIN
YES.I was at the flyin BUT i didnt have a helicopter.had one to set up..and taken steve g for a b cert(THAT WAS ME).im going again on the 17th april are you going.like i said when going to a flyin gremlins get in the works.ID LIKE TO SAY A FEW THINGS OF INTEREST PLEASE.i recon we should all relax and enjoy whats about to happen to us all.try not to create to much pressure on yourself and other pilots.model helicopters are ment to be fun and by applying to much stress to yourself isn't a great idea..IM DOING WHAT I CAN ALREADY DO.nothing magic but i know i can go there and enjoy and if ? I DO WELL then ok.what a bonus.but..im really looking forward to hang out with all you 3d dudes and if i can help anyone then give me a shout..
here's a list of my tricks
1 backwards inverted loop
2 pie dish
3 inverted piro's
4 cont flips
5 hurricane
easy aint they but hoping to kick the free style and thats whats 3ds about.regards craig
