Would a T-Rex 450x be a good choice for my first electric heli?
If so what type of eletronics should I get for the heli.

Thanks

I think all beginners should start with a 30 size nitro, or a larger electric (like an Eco 8, Voyager E, or Logo 10). There much easier to learn on then a micro. And they can take more of the abuse that a beginner will put it through. I beat the crap out of my old X-Cell 30 learning how to hover and nose in. No micro could have taken that abuse.

Just my two cents.

I don't have a T-Rex or any other electric but the T-Rex is top of my list so far.
From what I have seen in videos it seems pretty stable and with the extra weight rather docile without some modding. So it maybe ok for a beginner.

I second what srslamalot said go with an eco if you want electric and a rappy if you like nitro. I have 2 ECO 8 and I can not say one bad word about them. I also have a rappy 30 and 50 and I love em but I cant fly them in the park or at work like I can my eco's.

Yeah, I used to keep my Eco 8 in the trunk of my car, and would fly it during my lunch in the parking lot. It doesn't make much noise, and people think it's really cool. I was surprised that no one was afraid that I was going to crash into there car. Another great way to get a lot of practice in everyday.
