Is it possible to set the head speed with the Governor? I dont have a tach, so I dont know what my headspeed is. From reading the Throttle Jockeyy manual, it seems there is a ratio for the ATV setting on the AUX channel.

6% is 9500 RPM
100% is 20500 RPM

There is also a formula for the gear ratio.

So with this info can I get the Gear Ratio of the Raptor 30 and set the ATV to 100% and determine the Headspeed?

What is the recommended HS for the Raptor 30 V1?

If you give a Chimp a gun, and the Chimp shoots, DONT BLAME THE CHIMP!!!!

I think that you need a tach to set the headspeed with the throttle jockey, check at you field if someone has one, and 100% atv will overspeed the engine like crazy

Go to the Model Avionics Site and use their calculator. When I used it I was actually within 100 rpm of what it said it would be. I tached ten or so different ATV settings and wrote them down for my Rap 50 and I can now set the headspeed no problem.
