What is the best setup to keep batteries cooler and prolong their life?
Higher head speed and less pitch or moderate head speed and more pitch? And, of the two, longest flight time.

Cant say for sure with your set up cause I dont know it and there is so many setups anyway.
Listen to the motor and see what its response is like. If it seems like its bogged down increase throttle or decrease pitch etc.
The setup will run better if the motor is at its designed RPM range and be more effecient and help keep things cool. This is after the other things are correct, like your batterys can take the load and your ESC is up to it etc.
