well, I crashed again, but I'm not quite sure why I crashed. I went through a prefilght check. IE: checked the batteries, checked the controls, etc. I did some fff circuts, some backflips, rolls, a loop. Then, when I was ding a left hand turn on a circut, my radio locked out with the helicopter horizontal to the ground. I has to watch it plummit to Earth and I could do nothing about it.
There were three of us at the field and the only other guy at the field with my frequency had packed up already and I had the pin. I have NO IDEA as to what happened. Any suggestions?

Receiver loose connection ?
RX/TX Crystal not fully pluged in ?
PCM lockout / RF noise somwhere ?
Servo lead damaged shorting somewhere ?

Many causes are possible ? After it crashed, did the TX/RX worked or was it still not responding ?

Frank
Dont forget to bring a clean pair of shorts when flying 3D ;)

After the crash, the RX worked fine. The antenna broke off, but I'm not sure whether it came off during the crash, or whether it melted off because of where it ran under the helicopter. I don't think that the antenna is a factor because the helicopter was only on the other side of the runway about 20ft off the ground. All cannections were tight after the crash. A took a closer look last night and it may very well could have been PCM lock out, as I couldn't find any physical reason as to why it could have crashed.. That would explain why it kept going with my last input of polling over to the left. Now I just have to figure out what caused the lockout.

This is a BIG deal! If your antenna insulation started to melt against the pipe, the metal-to-metal contact of the antenna wire touching would most definitely cause a radio mess.
