Hi all,
I have been learning to fly using a Piccolo FP which I upgraded with all PMP upgrades etc. Fun but to small in scale, I was originally going to pick up a Voyager E for my next heli and then stumbled upon the Logo 10. I see there are 3 versions, Logo Basic, 3D and Carbon. I dont plan on doing any heavy 3d for awhile and always wind up dumping extra cash on extra carbon stuff for my rc stuff, so should I just spend the extra cash upfront and go with the carbon version?
Here is what I have spec'ed out so far:

M2277 Logo10 Carbon Kit $509.00
fxaeromodels

C5015L C50-15L motor $249.00 (13T)
fxaeromodels

MAS48-0H Master48-0-Heli Controller $179.00
fxaeromodels

MASProgbox Master Programming box $40.00
fxaeromodels

MS31005 Carbon Tail Blades Logo10 $23.50
fxaeromodels

MS35153 515mm Carbon Blades Logo10 $75.00
fxaeromodels

P/N521 Astro 3pin conn. (brushless motor) $9.95
fxaeromodels

TP80004s4p TP8000 4S4P Pack $285.00
fxaeromodels

BEC Ultimate BEC $30.00
fxaeromodels

JR DS368 $69.00 $207.00
Heliproz

Futaba401 Gyro W/9254Servo $209.00
fxaeromodels

JR R770 PCM from my 6102 Kit

Would I be better with a Hacker C50-13L? , but im looking more for duration/sport not heavy 3D.

Thanks
RK

Everything on your list looks good, but I would get better servos because the JR368's don't have any bearings in them. For about the same price I would go with the JR3421SA. You can get them for $69.99 from Heliproz if you buy 3. Here is the link to look at them. http://www6.mailordercentral.com/he...aitem=1&mitem=2
If your still learning you might want to think about saving some money up front and get the 3D version instead of the carbon version. The stock plastic frames are a lot cheaper then the carbon set, if you crash and have to replace them. The C50-15L will give you more duration then the C50-13L.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Are the JR3421SA a direct drop in on the servo mounts or do you have to modify them?

Thanks

You will have to modify the frames a bit. The 3421's are .2 of an inch longer then the 368's. All you have to do is file down the plastic on top and bottom a bit. The frames are thin where the servos screw on to so it's easy to file down.

DS3421 are 0.58 x 1.30 x 1.02
DS368 are 0.50 x 1.12 x 1.17

Take are,
Cheers, Patrick

Saint728-
Isn't carbon frame much stronger though ? I would assume it would take quite a beating.
t3k-
have you looked at Futaba S9650 servos - $59 fast lighweight digital. I have not used them but specs look excelent.

Yes the carbon frame is much stiffer, but if you crash it will be a cost a lot more then plastic frames.

Where have you seen those servos at that price? Every place that I've seen them sell them for $85.00. I use those servos in my Logo 10. They a lot bigger then mini servos. Size(mm): 43 x 35 x 42

I am also looking into the Logo 10. It seems that the prices really vary quite a bit. Where is a good place to buy the Logo. The servo city place looks like a great deal.

Thanks

Actually tower has a better deal, they have discount coupons, look at their front page plus they have quantity discout on it. So you can get it for about $53 a piece ! I wonder how well it will work for the tail. It is slower then 9254 but much lighter and cheaper.
