was cleaning my tx today when i wiped an area which had come into contact with fuel, using a cotton cloth. the cloth stuck to the patch where fuel had contacted. couldn't remove it as the plastic had resolidified WITH the cloth stuck in it. that really spoilt my day. now there's a patch on the back of my tx which has pieces of cloth imbedded in. any others who have had the same problem? how much would it cost to change the rear casing anyway?

Look on the bright side. For the moment at least your tranny is easy to identify. Having said this, It can't cost that much for a replacment panel for your tranny. I'd be shocked if it was expensive.
