Anyone has experience on this NEW Programmable Hitec Coreless Digital ? It has this Karbonite gear , which is supposed to be much stronger than the standard white gear. It also comes with heavy duty servo arms.

Operating speed: 0.13 sec/60º at 4.8V

Output Torque: 8.6kg.cm (119.42oz.in) at 4.8V

Wt. 52g. (1.83oz)

I'm going to use it for the tail servo with either 401 / 501 , hope they will take it.

Yeah, I want to know this too! This Karbonite stuff is supposed to be really nice and have a longer life span then nylon or metal gears. This seems like a really nice servo but I want to know if anyone else has any experience with it. I've got an HS 5925mg on my Losi car and I've never had a problem with it. Had it for 2 years now, racing it tons. So, I'm definitely a Hitec fan.

I am running 6965's and 6985's on my Bergen and my Raptor 90 at 6v

The 6965 may be a better choice for the tail, its a bit faster...

Operating Speed (4.8V): 0.10sec/60 degrees at no load
Operating Speed (6.0V): 0.08sec/60 degrees at no load
Stall Torque (4.8V): 92 oz/in. (6.6kg.cm)
Stall Torque (6.0V): 111 oz/in. (8.0kg.cm)

the 6965 will make a better tail servo. I am using one now, almost 90flights, no wear and the gears are still tight.

I'm running a 6965 with a CSM400 gyro on my Raptor 50, works fine, I'm very pleased with it. I also just ordered a 6985 as a collective servo as it has 10.4kg of torque. I'll post as to how that works out.

Ashley.
