Will a Predator gasser fit on an Airfoil M1 Carbon 30 mount(width of skids and weight?)
Anyone running a Predator gasser---what do you recomend as far as engine (G-23, G-26 Hansen) exaust system, blades (690mm-800mm)(longer tail boom) and brand of blades.... Just about to swing the credit card at one and want to get it right the first time.....

thanks

Greg

don't use it with the 30. I use 720s currently, it's the largest you can go. The 23 will make plenty of power for stills.

Greg,
The g26 Hansons seem to be running very well for everyone I have come across with them... As for the 800 mm blades / "Industrial Version", I'll let you know in a week or two, as we dug a hole with mine (and the new mounting system) yesterday and the LARKS fun fly..
I'll put some pictures up in a bit.

I think someone said before that g23 is smoother. less vibration?

not quite sure...

Also someone mentioned a gasser is coming out that's build to use longer blade. Is it a modified Pred?

Predator
I too am intersted in what owners of this heli have to say because I just bought one.
NoSoMo, are you saying that it should be used with the M-1 carbon instead? What about the Helicamsolutions Pro 60 mount? Would this make for a good match?
Thanks
Myles

The g26 in my pgasser has always run very smooth and with all the additional power I could want. I heard some talk about the g26 having issues when I purchased my Predator SE so I went with the g231, however Century ended up having them on back order and after I called a week later and was told two months I decided to go with the Hanson modded 26. Everyone I know with a pgasser and a hanson 26 love them... Lots of power when needed... No noticeable vibration increase.

Century will be offering the "Industrial" kit very soon. I spoke with Peter (Century owner) after my gasser dug a hole this weekend and he said very soon... I believe you can get the extended tail boom now (not for sure, though I am going to find out), drive shaft and 800's seperately..

I've been very happy with mine but after watching Bill Meador do autos with the 800's, I am sold... I want all the extra I can get for my platform..
Carbon plates are going on as well and new everything that was even slightly damaged..

In my opinion, the Predator Gasser is the best that is out there right now... Have not see many others but I have owned the Z230 and X-Cell carbon gasser and this is a much nicer ship.

Can anyone tell me whether the Hanson moded G26 runs any more smoothly than the standard G26, or is it primarily more power that comes from the mod?

There are two mods on the Hanson 26. You can go for the low end which is the most affordable, it smooths out the engine but doesn't really generate a lot of extra power over the stock. The stock 26 is a little shaky unlike a stock 231 which is butter smooth.

You can go all out and get the pro modified with the Hanson 26, not only better balancing for smoothness but several porting and other tweaks make it more powerful.

Thanks Heli-Driver.

I know the Hanson web site makes the horsepower claims with the engines being used with the tuned exhaust. Does anyone have experience of how much difference the 'pipe' really makes?
