also i'd consider the new tdg underslung flybar upgrade metal head for the raptor, it will reduce the chances of a boom strike alot since the blades are moved further up away from the boom.

see it here

Definitely Heli addicts TDG head.

I am getting another 90, and will put the TDG head on

I have flown the 50 size underslung and the standard upgrade one.

Stunning

i run the light head. hard dampers, 95mm tails not a problem. doesn't hit the tails let alone a boom strike.

not flown the underslung yet but i'm happy with the normal light TDG.

heli addicts is the place to get it.

cheers

I have just built a Raptor 60 with the TDG underslung head.

It had its first flight this weekend, the head is an awsome peice of kit.

You have to open the standard Raptor ball link ends as the balls on the head are slightly bigger.

I wouldn't use the Carbon extreme dampers on the Plastic hub. It will end up so stiff, that the it would probably increase the risk of the hub failing.

I've seen quite a few metal hubs around. The Quick, TT, and the TDR(TDG) Rotorheads. I think they're all prettly good, and will be a definate improvement over the plastic one.

You will notice that by changing the hub to metal, It will increase damping a little just by having it. TDG also do their O Ring Dampeners which I found pretty good. It still hovers comfortably, though I have had to increase the headspeed up to get rid of the oscillation which happens on more rigid heads.

The Quick and TT items are pretty good but more expensive. The TDG head has an integrated head button, which is a bonus, flies beatifully, and is cheaper than the other two.

I myself have the standard TDG head using the O Ring dampers. Haven't seen the TDG Underslung head yet.
