Hey guys,

I got a chance to test my Aveox/ Kontroniks HV setup today in normal flying conditions. All I can say is it was 'sickf%$ken'.

The combination of the CNC'd paddles and the Jazz controller made it an awsome machine. Very quick on cyclic responce and no glitching or lockouts.

I have a 5v Ubec. One of the ones from RCHover. Seems to work pretty good so far. What about yourself?

The only thing I can say I'm concerned about now is the 2 rods that go from the swashplate up to the flybar pivot system. If I put in full pitch and cyclic controls and tilt the flybar by hand on the bench, it is possible to make the links pop off the balls. This happens on + and - pitch so I can't see a way of stopping it.

I was wondering about that too, but it only happens when I force the flybar by hand as well.

oh, ya... I had an sbec but it glitched. I went to a ubec and I don't have any problems. I also grounded the cf boom to the airframe. it helped as I have no more glitches

the Jazz bec can put out 1.5amp or 2.5 for 10sec. the ubec can put out 3amp continuous 5 amps for 10 sec. Its just more reasuring when I'm running 3 mini servos, 1 digi servo and a high amp draw gyro as well.

3 x HS-81's + GY401/S9253, thats why. Digital servos suck alot of current especially a fast one like the S9253.

It may well work but I use the Ubec just to be on the safe side.

Then I would have gone with an Opto version and the UBEC.

humm...do they have an opto version that supports lithium polymer? Its not too tuff to disable the bec and its nice to have in the event that I want to use it in a different model down the road.
p.s. I've listed my eolo for sale but I'm finding it hard to let go I was thinking of moving on to a larger heli but I'm really afraid of not getting something that's as nice as my eolo. it has every upgrade available and is worth a bundle.

I would love to try but im worried it will kill my setup.

rcaddition Keep the eolo as your thrash model that you learn everything on, i have an evo 50 but my eolo is just as fun cos you dont have to worry about too much crash expence
