Hi Guys,

Check out my site for pictures of a mates 90 std after a boom strike when it was only 20 flights old. I ask how, why. The blades were 710's, very tight and he was just doing some tic tocs.

Whats the deal.

Maybe not using the red (stiff) head dampners or something similar and/or stick banging.

I'm using the carbon x-treme dampners in my rappy 90 and I've never had any issues. I did use the blue (medium stiffness) dampners that come with the kit for a couple of flights when I first got my raptor. Found they were far too soft for 3D.

Been there too. You gotta use red or Carbon Extreme dampeners and a metal head. Then all your problems will go away.

Just doing a Tic Toc?

A Tail down Tic Toc is the easiest way to produce a boom strike. If a pilot is not smooth with them, they can take the tial off of most any heli out there.

by the way.... the pics at the bottom of your page of the mid air, No pride was hurt, and under 60 bucks of damage per heli less the blades. It was not intential, but we were messing around in a very close area of each other.

red dampeners or carbon extreme.....make sure your head speed is 1750 or up.....no slop when torqueing the blade grips side to side....if there is then take the slop up with some shims.....
