I'm looking to upgrade my CSM HL200, as it's just not able to keep up anymore. It was fine when I was just doing circuits and the odd loop, but not upto the job when doing flips, death spirals fast backward flight.

Ideally I'd go for the 560, but been offered a 540 for £55, so was wondering as this is about half the price I'd pay for a new 560, whether they're any good.

I realise it'll be a big step up from a 200, but how far from the 560 is it ?

Cheers,

Darren

It'll do you just fine Darren

I would think unless you're a hardened 3D maniac, this is a good bargain. Sure, its not as good as the newer 560 or SLM variant, I'd suggest you go for this and spend some money on a good servo, 9254 or 8700 etc.

If you find its really not to your liking, reckon you'll recoup your money on ebay.

The 200's not bad, but it does drift

I'm using the CSM pads too.

It's on a Raptor 50, on the gap just behind the main spindle.

Like I say, it's not bad, I can do fast backward flight with it, but I get the occasional drift. I know it's not going to be as good as the gyro's higher up in the range otherwise they wouldn't have a range :-)

It's been looked at by some guys in my local club too (and there's some real gurus there), so I know it's not down to my setup, I'm just hitting the limitations of the 200 now, and although I can still fly the manouvers with it, life's more difficult because of it, hence why I want to upgrade.

Cheers,

Darren
