Len Mount has just contacted me that he is beginning production of the New Apache fuselage kit. I need to know if any of you are still interested in purchasing the fuselage kit and if you want a gas or turbine version. A $250.00 deposit is required to hold a first shipment order. Anyone purchasing the Apache during the initial offering will be given free shipping as a bonus.

The turbine version runs $2185.00
The Vario Benzine version runs $1990.00

Addition scale detailing will be available shortly from Len Mount.

A build up of the model can be viewed on Len Mount's web page. http://www.lenmountscalefuselages.com/

The first order will be going to Len shortly. If you are interested, please email or call and place your order ASAP.

The Shipping cost is not factored into the price ... it would be on Top of the price .... so it would be $1790.00 shipped.

Still sounds like alot for a fuse kit with no detail parts. Maybe LM is realizing that there is some competition on the horizon.

Maybe this will bring his prices into a more reasonable line. I think that I will wait to see what the guys in Indy do with theirs. I should only have to wait till around christmas time to tell if theirs is for real.

Apache1, this is a manufacturers release of a new product thread … High jacking a thread is in poor taste. The guys in Indy are doing well on their project but, all they have is a plug. When they realize that it will take a great deal of work to actually get the molds made they will realize the cost will go up substantially! This is a very difficult fuse to mold with all the intricate nacelles and hatches. Then when you add all the detail to the Molds to get a high Quality Epoxy Fuse such as Len’s then you would understand the cost. On top of all that He Hand lays up each Fuselage ONE at a Time to assure Top Quality. Then he fabricates the Woodwork and installs this into the Fuselage to insure that you will have a flying model when complete! I hope this answers some Questions that are out there.

Video
Greetings,

I have been watching the build up even though I know I will never be able to get one. It is a very nice model and I would like to see one up close finished.

Is there any video footage of this prototype flying?

I would think it would have to be fabricated by the modeler but, I will check with Starwood Models. I do know that TWGUNS has some good ideas on how to do this .. http://runryder.com/gallery/1349/ ..
