Is anyone running the TP2100-3S (long pack) for the Trex?

2100 mAh, 3 cell (11.1V), 16 gauge wires
Rating: 10C-12C Continuous Discharge
Dimensions (wt): 34mm x 98mm x 18mm (127gr)

Then theres always:

TP1320-3S
1320 mAh, 3 cell (11.1V) 16 gauge wires
Rating: 10C-12C Continuous Discharge
Dimensions (wt): 34mm x 65mm x 18mm (81gr)

Heh, Align has a 3S 1900mAh pack for $26.00 US... shame we cant order from their site!

Be careful of the $26.00 Align 1900mah packs as I think they are Lithium Ion and not what you really want for an e-heli. Much, much better to go with Lithium Polymer.

I have the 2100 for my T-Rex, that I just finished yesterday when I finally got a pinion for it. (Didn't know that the stock ones don't work on the Himax motor)
Anyway, I don't think you can fit anything bigger then the 2100 in the T-Rex, because it fits the frame sides perfectly, and goes all the way to the front of the canopy. If you looking for long flights, I'm sure the 2100 is the way to go, but I would bet the 1300 is better for 3D flying, when less weight is important.

Just my 2 cents.

srslamalot - what kind of flight times are you getting with the Himax 2025-4200, 9T, TP2100 setup? Does the Himax bogg at full collective (i.e. does it have ample power for the T-Rex without overheating)?

I could only get about 4 minutes with my gen1 1320 TP LiPoly. I tried a gen2, but only got about 5-6 minutes of flight (no 3D, either). I have to add, though, that I was using the little red JST connector which may have been a factor.

I got a gen2 TP 2100 and put Deans Ultra connectors on it. After 10 minutes I was cold and it was getting dark, so I landed. I haven't recharged the battery yet to see how much it was drained. But I got a solid 10 minutes.

I'm using the 2100 mah. It's long but You can fabricate an extention plate out of spruce sticks glued on either side of the frame. I thought about using the mjp carbon battery extention plate for the Shogun but I figured that if I ever had to split the frame i'd be s.o.l. The 2100 is also a bit heavy but I think it is worth it for the run time. BTW, the canopy fits fine with the 2100.
