Our club is considering raising dues. How much does your club charge ? (we currently pay $35 to fly at the field - this would be for the club)

Thanks !!! Pete

$40 for a single membership, $45 for a family membership [father-son, husband-wife etc]. Out of this we pay our yearly field lease and we hire out the mowing. We are an airplane and helicopter oriented club, and we usually have about fifty members.

$30/yr. with a $30 initiation fee. We have around 150 members, mostly plank flyers, but with a higher than average number of heli flyers.

Here in Wellington...
The local club fees are $90 a year, with half for the national group- the NZMAA, and half stays here. And now, this late in the year- the rate is half that!

But the membership to the NZMAA means we can fly on any other recognised field, plus get the 3rd party insuranace, etc. And there are some great fields in Rotorua, Taupo, Hawera, and Hamilton!

Maryland HelicopterAssociation dues are $50.00 a year. $52.00 if you pay via pay pal. With 60+ members, that covers the rent on our field but not much else. Without our Fun Fly every year, we'd have to raise the dues quite a bit. We spend almost as much on rent as we do field maintainance and "open house" events.

$50CAD per year, plus one time $50CAD for first time member. We have mostly planks and a couple of heli's so really the money is for the paved runway that was put in that I don't use anyway, but the grass is cut and it is a large open space with a sun shade a some new setup tables that were put in, its pretty good. But always have to fly with planes.
