Does the heat sink work better if its down low? I put my new Kontronik one at the top thinking that heat rises. What do you think?

Looks pretty cool.

actually from my experience the motor heats up more closer to the shaft end. also the heatsink comes in contact with the airframe as well, which is metal and acts a little like a heatsink as well.

Thanks, I'll have to check mine out next flight. What is in the grey foam underneath the chassis?

still an issue but I think its one I can live with. it just doesn't like packs that are over 25volts. I may send it in and have it swapped out as kontronik says that their jazz is good for 6s. it might just be that this esc wasn't update, I'm not too sure. I finally settled on not removing the whole visor what do you think? tests showed that the motor and batteries love the extra airflow.

Looks great, I'm going to attack mine again and put another row of holes either side of mine. I just uploaded my latest picture of my Eolo if you want to have a look. What about the grey foam?

nice pic. the grey foam rubber makes it so I can mount the jazz below. it seperates the esc from rubbing the 3rd bearing. also aids in anti-vibration. bet you have a hard time mounting your canopy with the esc located there. I tried that and it was a pain...always in the way. I like it much better underneath

Yeah I tried it underneath but I couldn't make the battery leads reach. I originally had the ESC mounted sideways behind the front struts but the canopy was still a pain. So thats the best I could come up with.

I see what you mean, just making a few little adjustments now.

Thanks.
