I'm building my spirit pro and have come in to trouble putting the lower servo mount on. The upper and lower servo mount that came with the kit are exactly the same, so i had to cut off the part that the upper one uses for the anti rotation hoop. Then i found that i couldn't get the lower bracket over the hump in the mast support and wilst pushing it on it cracked. Really my question are:

1. shoulf the upper and lower servo mount be the same or have i the wrong part in the kit ?

2. Should the mast support have that lump in it or is mine wrong. I have pictures by knowhere to post them

Any comments ?

1. No the 2 parts should be different.

2. Yes the mast support should have the hump in it.

The bottom one has normally got a slice down it in the middle at the back, if you look closely at the diagram in step 3.1 you can see the line where it is cut. This allows you to slide it over the lump. I'm not to sure if having the slice in a different spot would make any difference. If you wanted to you could get it in place and put some CA in the crack and fix it tight. Mine is free to twist slightly but it isn't noticable in flight. I think the servos stiffen it up a bit.

that means i got the wrong part in the kit then. The lower one is now cracked but i will try some CA. I am hoping that this should hold it as the correct peice would have a slice in it anyway, it is obviosly not meant to be a very tight fit. With a bit of luck the servos should strengthen it

thanks for you help

No problem,

I think you can put a cable tie around it to tighten it up, but I've never bothered.
