I was planning on converting my R30v2 to scale using the Funkey 46 Longranger. I have a few questions for anyone who has done this:

1) Will a TT39 / 550mm have enough power (for scale-like flying?)
2) Will I need a 50 boom?
3) Will the TT muffler fit?
4) How is fueling accomplished (remote fueler?)
5) Besides the paint-job, are there any differrences between the painted and unpainted kits?

Thanks

Nik

hello!
the tt39 will have enough power
not sure about the 50 boom though i would plan on it
the muffler should fit
a remote fueller is a good way to go for ease of refuelling
painted and unpainted kits are the same, 'cept for price of course
a buddy of mine did this conversion and i cannot remember if he used a longer boom forom the 50. he probably didnt. good luck

Yep, you will need the longer boom. And if you live in a higher altitude, like I do(6500 ft) then you will want a 50 in it. The 39 may do ok where you are, but the 50 allows different types of flying. With the 39 it may struggle a little. Just my opinion. Heres mine w/Raptor 50......

If you dont have the longer boom, then you will have to cut the fuse and rework it.

The TT39 will work. Unless you go overboard with cockpit, pilots and lights or fly, as previously mentioned, at high altitude.
You need the 50 boom/belt/linkage.
The TT50 muffler works so the TT30 muffler will fit too.
The LongRanger has a refueling point on the fuselage. Right side behind the windows. I used a FuelDot to simulate it and fuel from there.
The quality of the prepainted ones is very good. It may look expensive but doing a good paintjob yourself will easily cost as much.
