Hi all,

I used to fly heli’s several years ago until circumstances forced me to sell of most of my stuff. I kept one helicopter and two radios with the intent of picking it up again but that never materialized. I’m planning on putting them up for sale, either in a forum like this or on eBay. I’m looking for an honest appraisal of sorts for the following two items.

1) Helicopter with radio.
Kyosho Concept 30 SX
Enya SS35TN Helicopter Engine.
JR Century 7 Single Stick Radio N7C-4SHS (Ch38)
5 JR NES-L501 servos
Futaba Ball Bearing Rate Gyro FP-G3BB

The helicopter has probably 50 hours on it. Flown for about a year with only one serious crash. Tail boom is new, no dents, bends, etc. Canopy has a few scuffs. Because it sat unused for several years, both battery packs should be replaced. I was able to get enough charge on them to make sure that the radio, servos and gyro still function.

2) Radio.
Futaba Single Stick PCM Radio (Ch48)
Xmit FP-T8SSH-P
Recv FP-R128DP
Tachometer.
5 JR NES-L4001 High speed, ball bearing servos.

This radio is basically new. I bought it from a friend who flew it for about 3 months before he had a stroke. I put it in a Champion for about a month before I sold it. Again, because of the time it has been unused, both battery packs need to be replaced.

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

Welcome to RR
you are new here and hence no track record to sell = buyers confidence
you may have more luck on E-bay

Thanks Ted. I realized that but I figured places like this would be the best starting point to get some good info.

Ted's advice is good...the items you've listed aren't on the market anymore.
The Enya ; I believe is still out there.

I've been flying planks since 1957 and helis since 1978...said all that to say this...lot of the older (in the hobby) pilots remember single stick radios and concepts with metal flybar paddles...these pilots look to E-bay for items like you've described; and you'll come closer to getting what you want for those items on E-Bay

Now that you've broken the Ice (so to speak) as Ted has said ,"Welcome to RR".

Just a thought

like the gents above said you will prob have better luck and pull a higher price on e-bay for the simple fact that you have a larger "customer cruising" base and the fact that the items you discribed are not in production... you list it here and you'll get guys offering 20 bucks for all of it.... (I'll give you 25 ) I'm kidding for the record....

My appraisal is $175 for the Concept and $100 for the radio package. This is not the stuff people are flying these days. Ebay is the way to go.

Thanks Tom and psyco.

I figured that something so specialized would be in bigger demand in a dedicated forum like this but from the sounds of it, eBay will probably be the place to do it.

I had some other suggestions to break it down more and sell the pieces. Apparently the SS transmitters have some value.

Maybe the word to use instead specialized is out-dated. (no slam intended)

Fran,

I meant the sport/hobby in general, not the equipment in particular. I always look to my favorite boards for stuff, I've never used eBay. I guess there's a first time for everything.
