Not positive, but Alan was using the Black (origional dampeners) in his heads for the past bit of time. I think they are between the hardness of the blue and red.

I found that my se head likes the red dampeners with only enough shims to take out all the side to side slop. I am not compressing the dampeners any with compression at all.

When I did that 1think 3 thin shim combo with the reds... I got a bad wabble in my machine.

Fortunately I got a chance to talk to Alan at OC Bobs this past september. He is running the black stock dampeners from the Raptor 60 flipped around so the little lip is pointing towards the blade grip.

He then puts the thick washer on both sides and then 2 more shims on each side.

I tried it on my Raptor 90 SE and so far I like it. It is relatively new, and i get a tiny wobble when coming from idle up to normal in a hover. Other than that, it seems just fine.

Dunno?

Apparently, like Jeff said, they are alitte harder than the blues, but alittle softer than the reds. Right in between

They are probably better becuse........ They are what he had at hand.

Last I spoke to Alan Sr, They had the diffrent ones, but never tried them because they didn't have a need to.

These blace ones were the ones that came with the origional metal head. Not the ones that came in the r60 kits, as they were softer.
