Does anyone know if the Trex is being soild in the UK yet?

I already have the Zoom, and the Trex looks a great heli also.

So come on, lets see more of these Trex,s in the UK.

Regards

"Soild"?!?
Well no, I haven't "planted" it yet , but I know of at least 2 that are in the UK cos I own one of 'em and bought another on behalf of a mate!

But enough of my being a smarty-pants. In answer to your question, I got mine from "911heroes" on eBay direct from Taiwan. Great service.

Check out my gallery for a peek.

Enright

I see you also have a Zoom.

Have you flown the Trex yet? How does it compare to the Zoom?

Alot say it is heavier than the Zoom, so will not fly as well!!! But I am keeping my views open yet, as this heli is still fairly new, and it is just a matter of time until someone finds the ideal setup. Just like the Zoom was when that first came out.

Anyway, let me know what you think of it.

Many Thanks

Too many helis...
...and too few components!

I'm afraid I can't compare the models yet because I only have one brushless motor between them, which is a Model Motors MM1215/20. It's not ideal, and since I killed my LiPos I have to rely on my mate's pack every other week at the local heli club.

I also have a selection of pinions from 8 through to 13 teeth, and am just about to solder some bullet connectors onto my motor in order to make it a relatively quick change.

So hopefully I should be able to report my findings after next Weds.

Until then all I can say is how enjoyble the T-Rex has been to build, what a bargain I think it is for what is included (spares, parts storage boxes/trays, different colour schemes, allen keys, screwdrivers and even threadlock!), and how nice it looks and feels next to my other helis.

Spares from Align now don't appear to be the issue that many feared (have you seen how MANY different types of blade they sell and how cheap they are? Zoom owners should take note!), and their customer service in TNT'ing upgrade bits around the world was quite astonishing.
