Mark,

Can you add a place here on RunRyder that list Helicopter Clubs and there websites.

I think this would make it easier for beginners to find clubs in thier area.

Thank you

I like the idea, but until Mark goes for it, you can find local clubs by using the AMA website at:

http://www.modelaircraft.org/

Pull down the About AMA menu and select the Chartered Clubs link. It will allow you to search the database to find local clubs. Many have e-mail addresses, websites, or simply contact phone numbers.

It won't be heli-specific, but it does list all the chartered clubs in the country.

You can also check with your local hobby shops. They will almost certainly be able to point you in the right direction.

Problem with the AMA list is it is never completely up to date and only their chartered clubs are listed. Many clubs out there may be working on getting that charter, or a field, etc. So I think a list here would be great!!!

I fly here in Mt. Pleasant Texas. Our club website is http://www.clubnetrc.com, or Michaels Website at raptortechnique.com. Same airfield. It is a nice level field at Bob Sandland Lake.

I was going to take up Origami, but someone said the local club folded.

Here's a list of R/C Heli clubs or R/C clubs friendly to Heli's.
Still a work in progress but it's coming along...

I had an idea to help find other pilots on RR. Have everyone use the state first in their location, then their city. When you use the search engine and use the location filter, all the states would show up, then the cities afterwards. If you use the search and location filter now it's almost impossible because cities, states, countries are mixed in together.

LINK TO PILOT LOCATOR
Here is a link that will help you find a pilot in your area. I am sure that you will get club info from that point from that pilot. Welcome to the hobby.
