Ok, I know about Tower but wanted to search around for a better price.

Mach7 fuels website is dead.

Morgan Fuels doesn't sell to the public. "Order it at your Hobby Shop" If I had a frelling hobby shop I could order it through I would.

Wildcat - no pricelist, no shipping list. Email if you want info. Maybe we'll get back to you.

Powermaster - see above.

Rich's Brew - see above

For crying out loud, get out of the stoneage, fuel people. It's not that hard to set up a commerce site that shows changing prices, that calculates shipping cost by zip code, adds hazmat and other fees and securely takes CC or Paypal.
Even Rick's doesn't do fuel anymore.

Fritz, have you tried Magnum Fuel? Our club just made an order and it was a pretty good deal. The only problem is that they only ship to a business address.

The trouble with fuel is that it is no allowed to ship with the normal shipping companies like UPS or EMS.
So it is not possible to send it with them and it has to be shipped with a company that has the right papers en can live up to the safety regulations. This will push up the price.
They’re for its only interesting to ship bulk and not several gallon

Its not only fuel, I try to order ‘’house of colour’’ paint but this is also regarded a dangerous material. So no can do was the answer.

Rick's says they don't sell fuel anymore. Their website says
We are no longer arranging shipment for fuel.

RICK's

"We would be happy to arrange for a drop shipment of Cool Power fuel. Just give us a call, let us know how much and what your zipcode is. There is a 44 CASE MINIMUM order, so get together with your friends and club members. We can mix Heli fuel and airplane fuel on the same order."

Helicopter World sells fuel also.

I have ordered fuel from RICK's twice and have to have it dropped at a buisness.

Strangely, in the UK there are a couple of firms shipping fuel direct to you home now. I always thought we had more problems getting fuel shipped than you guys across the pond.

I know I'm being picky, but the above sentence deconstructed becomes:

"I've never had the phone not anwered."
"I've never had a call returned."

Why is it so frelling hard to order fuel on the Net?
Farscape fan, huh? My wife got me hooked. I also liked Lexx. Weird but cool show.

I picked up 6 cases of CoolPower 15% at a (semi) local shop for $13.25 a gallon. Most of the shops in my area want about $20/gal. I wonder what this stuff actually costs the shops?

What kind of prices do people usually get with group/bulk buys? I'm using about 3 gallons a week right now so I'd buy bulk to save some money.

It's hard to say. The big problem in shipping this stuff is that the shipper must go to the extra effort to comply with the regulations concerning the handling and shipping of "hazardous materials". As the old shopkeeper said: "It's gonna cost you."

Fritz,

I will have to second what was mentioned above. Go to the magnum fuels website and give Buzz a call. He is easy to deal with and the fuel is great. I like the fuel because it does give you a good exhaust trail, yet the exhaust dissipates and does not hover like morgan. Our local shop is pretty much nonexistant with helis and shipping fuel really helps us out.

Thanks

Charles

I've gotten my Coolpower 15% for just over 10$ a gallon, if I order 5 cases or so.

I've run Mach 7 15% as well, with good results. Mach 7 fuels is a Morgan (Coolpower) company, and they will sell to you direct. UPS will deliver it, but it is ground.

Thanks, John Cadwell

Contact John. He and his crew will load up Moya and have Pilot set a Starburst course for your location. Make more Farscape, I'll watch it.

A pallet load of fuel shipped truck fright is around 65 bucks.
You need to talk to Jerry. I believe a pallet is between 6 to 12 cases.

JCadwell,

Where'd you order the Coolpower 15% that you got it for ~$10 a gallon and did that include shipping?

I'm glad there are a few other frelling idiots on the board with me!

You can order Wild Cat from Tower Hobbies. The 15% nitro mix is $80 for four gallons. The 20% is $77 and 30% for $93.

The real down-side here is that there is a $20 per case hazard fee added on! Suddenly buying Cool Power 15% for $17/gallon from the hobby shop doesn't look so bad.

I would also be interested in a good mail-order source for fuel, if anyone knows of one.

Very dependent on # of cases and distance.

Last order we did was 19 cases to New England
and shipping was $100 (which was lower than
expected).

Call Buzz at Maginum.

If you can order a minimum of 16 cases (club price), you'll be amazed at the price of 30% delivered.

Hint: "Under 14.00 / gallon"
