He'll have majority in the Senate and in the House. He could make abortion illegal, he could repeal all these crazy gun laws he could tighten security on the borders etc................

But the reality is, the Patriot Act will be amended and will become more incompassing and more draconian, the borders will stay wide open, amnesty for illegal aliens will continue, your jobs will continue to be shipped overseas (as if that is even debatable if it's good for the country immediately or down the road) etc................

Tyranny is taking on the appearance of "Conservatism."

Well, I'm just stating that things don't really change for the better... We take enormous steps in the wrong direction but baby steps in the right direction...

Thomas Jefferson said there should be a Revolution around every 50 years to keep government in check... I think we've fallen behind.

Too late, the national debt has all but stolen all the social security already. Nothing left to steal. And as for the draft, it's 2004 have you seen your national guard or reserves lately? I bet the re-enlistment rate is just sky rocketing. NOT

You guys are right. How could I have been so blind? I'm going to vote for Kerry now. What, it's already over? Damn, can't we have another election for the people that have changed their minds?

Ok look guys, it's over. And despite what you may have heard to the contrary, the Democrat authored bill to reinstate the draft was voted down.

"the Democrat authored bill to reinstate the draft was voted down"

Maybe I'm stupid but as I read this "DEMOCRAT authored bill"

Does that mean that a "DEMOCRAT tryed to reinstate the draft"

What the hell does this have to do with W, who said he wouldn't reinstate the draft .

And ya wonder why sKerry lost .Why the dems lost ,outta touch.
If ya dont figure it out you'll loose in 08 too

Whoa, wait right there... I'm no freaking liberal democrat, nor am I some republican conservative. I'm a Constitutionalist/Federalist. The way I see it, neither party offers what I believe this country needs and that's a serious over-haul of the current system. I am a Christian and I love this country, but I don't like the direction it's headed... Under conservatives or liberals for that matter... Our government has much more power then the founding fathers ever intended.

Now back to the boring left vs right bologna.

Don't read to much into the draft. It's sponsored every year by that Democrat mainly as a method for keeping it from happening. I know a person that works with the legislature, the way he explained it was this. They purposely bring it up every so often, just so it'll get shot down, that way a draft can be avoided. Sounds screwy, but it's been that way for quite a few years now.

As the language of this particular one that's stalled says it'll draft women and college students too, it has virtually no chance of every getting approval.

People were worried, cause if W wanted to, he'd get a real one going. But according to his press conference today (he was pretty funny too ) he has no plans to do such.

Not quite related, but there was a pretty good documentary tonight on - of all places - Court TV about a whistleblower on the Alaska pipeline and how the corporate folks hired the Wackenhut security company to try and entrap him. They even discussed trying to entrap a congressman, when the congressional inquiry found out it hit the fan.

This proves you can't trust these people, be they corporations, congress, etc., any farther than you can throw them. That's why Patriot and Patriot II are such a threat, they can be used & abused for things they weren't meant for. Why did Patriot pass so quickly? Why label it 'Patriot'? Implies it's 'patriotic', what a bunch of BS!

As for those who say Bush has done such a 'great job', I'd ask "Where?". Terrorism - he only did what anyone else would have done, nothing innovative except create an even bigger bureaucracy, more Cabinet positions, etc. Jobs - they're going at an alarming rate while he fiddles in Crawford on weekends. Economy - asleep at the switch.

I listened to his acceptance speech, how sad. Anything not in print in front of the man's nose, he stumbles, mumbles, even said "It's hard, it's hard work' ala recent SNL debate skits.

Sorry, just cause he got re-elected doesn't make him any less a boob.
