rdalcanto,
No thanks. I don't think I could agree, that we should disagree about agreeing to not agree with the reasons we disagreed in the first place. Do you agree? I don't! But I could if you want me to. Or not!

Can you name me even one time when someone else raced to the Americans in trouble?
I don't want to bore you with facts but Ben Franklin talked France into helping us during the revolutionary war. The French came to are aid even though some of the right wing Frenchmen thought the 1st shot would bankrupt them.
Come on people try to get info from some where other than FOX NEWS.
Freedom isn't free it takes work, courage and truth, the founding fathers wrote the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution while taking on the most powerful country in the world (they were so desperate they took help from the French). Everyone who signed the Declaration of Independence was signing their own death warrant. If you read the history of the time you don't find people talking about what they had to lose but what they had to gain. It pisses me off to see fear mongering as a reason to vote for GWB if you really believe we are there to do the Iraqs good.

Ya know, I am starting to think that ONE of the many benefits of George getting re-elected is that it helped piss off people in the rest of the world..
The thought that my one little vote helped to contribute to this pleases me more than anyone can know
It's thinking like that, that gets our soldier killed.

I don't think the goal was entirely to help the Iraqis. I beleive it was to help the world by keeping Sadam from geting his hands on nukes and other WMD's. Which is what it was all about in the begining. It has been spun into helping the Iraqis after the fact. And has been the basis of a lot of the critisizm about Bush and his way of dealing with Sadam since the whole thing began. Do I think he had what we are and were looking for? Yes I do. And the intel said he most likely did. So we did at the time what we had to do. If we did nothing, and he did indeed produce what we thought he might be trying to, the whine would be on a whole different level. And if we did nothing about it, knowing what intel said it did. We would be seen in a whole differnet light. One of a weak country not willing to stop him from doing what we set out to keep him from doing post desert storm. So it was kind of a double edged sword. We chose the path of a country that wouldn't set back and see what happened. And have drawn a lot of heat from it. But if he nuked someone as a result of us not doing anything with what we knew, or thought we knew, I bet that heat would have been quite a bit higher. As for your ONE example of a country comming to our aid, you yourself point out that they had to be talked into it. And that was during the founding of this country. When has anyone helped us in the past 75 years? Or more? How many other nations stepped up to help clean up after 9-11? And how many countrys are going to help pay to rebuild the buildings? I am betting NONE! But rest assured that if something like this happens elsewhere, we will be there Johnny on the spot. And what will we get for it? More hatred. Go figure!

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

Hey Achmed, here comes another one of those Americans. Look how he hands out candy and plays with the children. He is poisoning them with his Western culture.
