That timing is not to bad at the moment, a lot of the rappy50 guys were saying a little more than 7 minutes.
What gearing are you using?

I agree with Squid1 you would use more fuel... but more fun too

If you want it to be cheap to run.... mount al the 50 stuff, use a governor (GV-1 of TJpro of revmax...whatever), mount a MP2Q and tune it for optimum performance running 2K on the head

I get 7 minutes of hard 3D doing just that... on half a tank of fuel

Cheers,

Rich

Maybe we could assemble a chart with running times, so newbies have a guidance about how lean they can get (I'm quite a n00b myself, so I would actually very much enjoy such a listing).

I readjusted my TT50 (R50v2, stock muffler, CP15%) the other day after blowing a TT70. It seems a bit rich now, and I got 16 minutes (hovering, FF, stall turns) out of the tank.

When doing pure hovering on my raptor [OS Max] 50 (up or inverted, doesn't really matter) I get about 10 minutes on a tank. When flying around, even what would be considered 'hard 3D' I get a lot longer than that, maybe 15 minutes. That's with 15% nitro. With 5% I used to get longer flying times but the engine ran on the hot side all the time and eventually the piston broke down...

im using the raptor 50 gearing 85 tooth i think.
i like the way it flys now i just wonder if i could be getting more if i use all the conversion parts. i dont do 3d just mainly cruiseing around with loops and rolls thrown in maybe a bit of inverted hovering.
