Dear Gentlemen,

Which is the normal or highest temperature range that a Hacker motor (C50 15L) can handle without troubles neither the motor or ESC ?

How long do I have to leave cooling the motor between flights ?

Thank you in advance.

Tobias

Tobias2, I recently purchased the C50-15 Hacker also, but don't yet have everything I need to put my Logo together. But, I have another heli with the B series Hacker and if I remember right, the manual states not to go over 180 degrees. However, I would listen to Warren and not go over 170. Personally, I try to avoid going over 140--which is about the hottest it ever got after one battery pack. I have the Ofna temp gun and just hold it almost against the motor in-between flights to keep an eye on it, and fly again after it lowers to about 100-110 degrees (at the most 5 minutes). Also, I have a Radio Shack Brushless (very thin and light) PC fan plugged into the reciever to cool off the motor even sooner. It seems to work unbelievably well when it's not extremely hot outside. Hope this helps, Steve.

The pamphlet that came with my new C50-13L says the following:

"Hacker Brushless Motors are designed for operating temperatures up to 110 degrees C (230 degrees F)."

I like to keep mine in the 140-160 F range, though. These motors are tough.
